美容整形といえば外科的な処置を行うイメージがありますが、９０年代の後半頃から外科的な処置を行わない整形術が登場して広く行われています。プチ整形とも呼ばれるもので切開などを伴わないのでダウンタイムが短く料金が低いのがメリットになります。

コラーゲン注入の料金相場としては注入する量やクリニックで変わります。１ｃｃあたりの料金相場は１０万円前後ですが、０．５ｃｃでも十分に効果があるとされ、その場合では５万円程度で済みます。ただし肌の状態や医師の技量によってその仕上がりが左右されることになります。

コラーゲン注入が行なわれる場所としては、顔がもっとも多くしわを無くすために行われます。これはコラーゲンを注入することで皮膚の厚みが増すことでしわが消えることと、同時に肌の弾力性を担っているコラーゲンを補充してやることで肌の弾力感を取り戻させることができます。一般に化粧品にもコラーゲンを含んだものがありますが、皮膚から吸収できる量は限られており、またその質や量も少ないので効果を出すためには長期間の使用が必要ですが、美容クリニックで行なわれるものでは高品質で高濃度のコラーゲンが使われるのでそれだけ効果が早く出ます。
一方で品質の良いコラーゲン注入ですので、料金相場も化粧品に比べると高くなり1ccあたりでは１０万円程度とされていますが、種類によっては２０万円程度する必要があります。特にヒト由来のコラーゲンは効果が長くアレルギーが出にくいメリットがあります。また最新のものでは患者の脂肪細胞からコラーゲンを抽出して注入を行うというもので、この場合には３０万円以上の費用が必要になります。いずれにしても施術を受けるさいには、どのようなコラーゲンを使用するのか確認することが大切です。
