ワプトスの手術は、たるみやシワを改善することを目的に行われている糸のフェイスリフトです。ワプトスの手術内容は、こめかみ部を少し切開してダブルトシスと呼ばれる糸でリフトアップしていきます。この手術を行った直後からリフトアップ効果を感じることができるので、大変効果的な手術方法です。溶けるタイプのダブルトシスは、リフトアップの効果が1年前後と短期間しか持続しませんが、再度リフトアップすることで繰り返し引き上げが可能な手術です。また溶けるタイプはその後分泌されて繊維組織を生み出すので、糸が吸収しなくなったとしてもコラーゲンはあります。そのためたるみやシワを目立たなくして綺麗なハリのある肌へと導いてくれます。しかしワプトスの手術はリスクもあり、まず一つ目に挙げられるのが、肌が凸凹になってしまったり引きつり感がでてしまうことがあります。また持続性もあまり高くないので肌のたるみで本当に悩んでいる方には向いていません。
持続性が低いことがリスク
通常、数あるリフトアップ手術の中で切開をする手術以外は半永久的もしくは永久的ではなく、必ず元に戻ってしまいます。特にこの手術は持続性が低いことがリスクとして挙げられます。他のリフトアップの手術の場合は早くても半年後に元に戻りますが、この手術の場合は入れてから1ヶ月後くらいから元に戻ってしまう可能性があります。ワプトスの手術中は麻酔をしますし、手術後すぐに化粧をすることもできるなど比較的ダウンタイムは短めです。しかし手術をする上で痛みが全くないとは言うことができません。そのためよほどこの手術方法を気に入っている場合を除いて、何回もマメに受けなければいけないのでそのたびに費用と手間がかかります。このようにワプトスは肌にハリを与えてくれてたるみやシワをなくす効果がある一方で、持続性の低かったり、肌に凸凹感を与えてしまう恐れがあります。こうしたリスクをしっかりと理解して不安なところはカウンセリングで確認するようにしましょう。
