美容整形の施術の１つにVビームレーザーは赤ら顔や、赤アザ、ニキビ跡の治療を行うレーザー治療法です。VビームのVとはVascularのVで血管を現しています。これは使用するレーザーが血液中に含まれる酸化ヘモグロビンに対して吸収率が高く、毛細血管を局所的に熱によって破壊することができるメリットがあるからです。595nmの色素レーザーを使用して、肌表面付近の毛細血管を破壊できますが、最近ではレーザーのパルス幅を調節することで、レーザー光のピークの強度を上げることができ、より皮膚の奥にある毛細血管も破壊することができるようになりました。また照射と同時に冷却を行うことで、照射部分周辺の健康な組織へのダメージを軽減することができ、より安全な方法として治療することができます。
Vビームレーザーは手軽に行え、日帰りも可能なので、比較的多くの方が行っている治療でもあります。脱毛やシミの除去ほどの高出力なものではないので、ダウンタイムなども少なめなのが特徴です。

単純性血管腫や苺状血管腫などは新生児の時から確認することができ、早期治療を行えば治療回数も少なくて済みます。子供のうちは毛細血管が皮膚の表面にあり、皮膚自体も薄いために治療が行いやすいためです。ただし大人ほど皮膚が強くないために、治療後はレーザーによって皮膚が赤く腫れやすく、場合によっては黒く見える場合もあります。しかし有効な治療法なので、なるべく早くから診察を受けるようにしましょう。
赤ら顔は、毛細血管拡張症と言って、加齢とともに少しずつ進行していきます。これも保険適用で治療を行うことができるので、気になっている人は一度医師とのカウンセリングを行ってみると良いでしょう。
