トラコンハムラ法とは、目の下のたるみを改善するための手術法です。この方法は、ハムラ法を応用したものですが、ハムラ法が皮膚を切開する必要があるのに対して、トラコンハムラ法は、表面を切らない手術法です。
下まぶたの裏側の結膜側にごく小さな穴を開けて、余分な脂肪をくぼみのある部分に移動させるというものです。皮膚を切らないので傷跡も残りませんし、身体への負担も少なくて済みます。
これは、目の下のたるみが比較的軽い方や、余分な脂肪が少ない方に向いている手術ですが、傷を一切残さずに目の下のたるみを解消できますし、1度の施術で半永久的な効果が望めます。それに、切開しない分だけダウンタイムも短くて済むのです。
これらのメリットにより、多くの人から支持されている手術法なのです。
しかし、実際に手術を受ける際は、メリットだけでなくデメリットも充分にチェックする必要があります。
具体的にはどんなデメリットがあるのでしょうか。
非常に難しい手術
トラコンハムラ法は、下まぶたの裏の結膜部分を切開して、眼窩脂肪をくぼんだ部分に移動させるという手術法なので、目の下のくぼみと膨らみを同時に解消させるというテクニックが必要であり、非常に難しい手術となります。
そのため、担当する医師の経験や実績によっては失敗する恐れもあります。そのため、いくつかのデメリットが存在しています。
例えば、脂肪が移動したことで、脂肪で膨らませていた部分に逆に小じわが増えることもありますし、目の下のたるみが余計に膨らんで見えることもあります。
また、ごく稀にですが、目の下の脂肪を強く引っ張ると物が二重に見えたり、神経麻痺が起きて下まぶたや上唇などの感覚が麻痺する可能性もあります。
トラコンハムラ法は、目元のたるみを取ってスマートで若々しい目元にしてくれる手術ですが、このようなデメリットも存在するので、医師の選択には注意が必要です。

うまく脂肪の移動ができなくて、押し出されて膨らんだ眼底脂肪が残ったままになっていると、クマ・たるみが解消しないままになってしまい、再施術が必要になることがあります。

トラコンハムラ法は傷を目立たせない位置を切開する術式であるため、余った皮を切除することは難しい術式です。このため、たるみを解消させることができるように脂肪の位置をコントロールできないと、皮が余って、しわが増えることがあります。
縫合の仕方や脂肪の固定具合によっても、下まぶたにちりめんじわができることがあって、術後のケアを行わないとそのまま残ってしまうことがあるので、肌を引き締める施術を行ってもらう必要があります。
