切らないリフトアップとして人気の高い糸を使った施術ですが、中でもシルエットリフトは効果があることで知られています。
シルエットリフトとは、コーンのついた特殊な形状の糸を皮膚の下に通し、コーンに皮下組織を引っかけて引っ張り上げ固定することで、シワやたるみを改善するものです。切開するフェイスリフトには及びませんが、糸を使用した施術の中では持続性があります。

シルエットリフトの一番のデメリットは、何と言っても効果が半永久的に持続するわけではない、ということです。糸に溶ける素材のものを使用した時には、個人差はありますが、だいたい1～2年で効果が薄れてきます。溶けない糸の場合にはそれよりも持続性は高くなりますが、それでも3～4年ほどで効果はなくなります。
また、シルエットリフトに使用される糸には伸縮性がありません。そのため、人によっては引きつれたような感じを持つ人もあります。中には、口を動かしたりする時に違和感を覚えたり、痛みを感じることもあるようです。
