ロアーリフトとは、加齢などによるものが原因で頬の筋肉が弱くなってしまい、頬から首元に皮膚が垂れ下がってしまうため、逆三角形だった輪郭が四角く変化してしまった状態を改善する手術です。
輪郭がすっきりとすると１０歳は若返ることが出来るとして、アンチエイジングの美容整形としても人気の方法です。
ロアーリフトの代表的な手術方法は、耳の前の部分を切開し、たるんだ皮膚を持ち上げて余分な皮膚を切除し縫合しなおします。
このとき、余分な脂肪が多い場合には脂肪吸引を同時に行ったほうが、より効果的な場合があります。
切開手術のため、手術後には痛みや腫れが続く場合があります。
個人差はありますが、目安としては２週間のダウンタイムを必要とします。
ダウンタイム中のアフターケアについては、手術後に医師による説明が行われます。

基本的にはダウンタイム中は痛みが強かったり腫れがひどい場合には、アイシングを行い冷やすことが重要ですが、場合によっては薬を使用します。
鎮痛剤や軟膏などが処方された場合には、医師の指示に従って使用しましょう。
きちんとケアすることで、傷口がきれいに治るので目立たなく仕上がります。
傷口にむやみに触れてしまったり、自己流のケアは避けましょう。
