頚部リフトは、フェイスリフトアップの一種で首元（頚部）のたるみを改善する美容整形術です。一般的な頚部リフトでは耳の下から襟足にかけての生え際を切開し、余分な皮膚を切取り縫合することで首元の皮膚を後ろへ引張りあげるものです。切除する場所が違うだけで頬リフトや額リフトと同じ仕組になりますが、頬リフトと額リフトの場合には正面から目立つ場所になりますが、頚部リフトでは正面から見えないので縫合跡が目立たないメリットがあります。
一方で切開を伴う方法の場合にはダウンタイムは１週間から２週間程度とされ、その間は腫れが出るケースがあります。血管を傷つけることで内出血が起こり、紫色になりますが、２週間から４週間で消失します。抜糸そのものは１週間後で、抜糸のあとはメイクも行うことができます。痛みに関しては皮膚を切開したためありますが、多くの場合には鎮痛剤が処方されます。完全に治癒するまでには４ヶ月から６ヶ月程度の時間が必要です。
感染症や神経の損傷、縫合術の未熟さから来るトラブル
頚部リフトに限らず切るリフトアップを行った場合には、さまざまなリスクが存在しています。考えられるリスクとしては、感染症や神経の損傷、縫合術の未熟さから来るトラブルがあります。感染症は、抗生物質の投与などで防ぐことができますし、衛生的な美容クリニックであればほとんど起こることはありません。一方で神経を損傷させたり、縫合術の未熟さなどは医師の技量によって左右されます。特に神経を傷つけてしまった場合には回復が困難であるためもっとも厄介なトラブルといえます。それ以外のトラブルは別の方法で改善することが可能ですが別料金が掛かるケースもありアフターケアが整ったクリニックを選ぶことが重要です。
頚部リフトでは、２週間も経てば腫れや痛み、内出血などが引いてくるためダウンタイムは２週間程度とされますが、実際に完全に治癒するまでには４ヶ月から半年程度は見ておく方が無難といえます。この間は施術した場所に負担を掛けないように工夫する必要があります。
