ハムラ法は、目の下のたるみやシワに効果的な治療法です。
これは、下まぶたのまつげの生え際に沿って切開をして、目の下のたるみやシワの原因でもある眼窩脂肪を、目の下のくぼんでいる場所へと移動させ、余分な組織や皮膚を除去することで、たるみやシワを解消して目元をスッキリさせるという手術方法です。
同じ目元の手術でも、下眼瞼脱脂のように眼窩脂肪を切除する治療法では、脱脂によって逆にくぼみが目立ってしまうケースもありましたが、ハムラ法の場合は、脂肪をただ切除するのではなく、膨らみの下の影が出来ている部分へと移動させるので、下まぶたの凹凸を綺麗に平らな状態に出来るのです。

ハムラ法は、下まぶたのまつげの生え際に沿って切開し、目の下の余分な眼窩脂肪をくぼんでいる部分へと移動させることで、目の下のたるみやシワを改善することが出来ますが、表皮からの切開や組織と皮膚の切除も伴うため、表面に傷跡が残るというデメリットが存在しています。
また、それは同時に、目の形や印象が変わってしまう恐れがあるというデメリットもあります。
もし、皮膚を切除しすぎてしまったら、下まぶたが下に引っ張られて、まるで「あかんべー」をしているような目元になってしまいますし、眼窩脂肪を移動しすぎると、ドライアイになって目がゴロゴロしてくる恐れがあります。
そして、涙袋や目元の立ち上がりが無くなって、のっぺりとしたメリハリの無い顔立ちになる恐れもあります。
