一度失敗すると修正が非常に困難
ブローリフトを行うことで垂れ下がった皮膚を除去すると、見た目が若々しく明るい印象に変身することができます。また余計な皮膚を直接切除するため、今ままで垂れた皮膚を遮ろうと無理に目を開いて額のシワを増やす必要がなくなる他、視野が広がるメリットがあります。しかしデメリットも多く存在し、まずは物理的に皮膚を取り除くため一度失敗すると修正が非常に困難な点が挙げられます。また切開により手術後傷跡が残りやすく、目元であるため切った跡が目立ちやすい点もリスクとして挙げられます。ブローリフトは微妙な調整を必要とする手術の一つであるため、経験が浅い医師では少なからず失敗のリスクが生じる恐れがあります。瞼が閉じない、化膿する、皮膚のたるみが残ってたり眉毛の位置の左右差が生まれるなどのトラブルが生じるため注意が必要です。目元は顔の印象を左右する大切な場所であるため、手術前に自分が希望する容姿を医師にしっかり説明し手術に向かうことが大切です。また現在では多くの手術法が確立されてるためほかの整形方法を考えるのも一つの手段でしょう。
