エックス（Ｘ）トーシスは医療用の糸を埋め込むリフトアップ術のひとつです。単純に頬を引っ張り上げるだけでなく、側頭部にも糸を埋め込みます。頬に入れたV型の糸と、側頭部に入れたV型の糸を交差させ、Xの形にするのでエックス（Ｘ）トーシスと名付けられています。この術式では即時にシワやたるみが修正され、効果は1～3年ほど続きます。糸は体に吸収されるものを使う場合と、非吸収性のものを使う場合があります。吸収されてしまっても、糸を入れていた部分にコラーゲンが生成されるため、しばらくは効果が残るとされています。
エックス（Ｘ）トーシスの料金相場は、クリニックによってかなり異なります。安いクリニックでは20万円程度で施術していますが、一般には40万円～60万円といったところです。糸や麻酔の種類によっても費用は変わります。局所麻酔だけでは不安な方は、全身麻酔や笑気麻酔などを受けることもできますが、料金は高めになります。

エックス（Ｘ）トーシスは切開するフェイスリフトに比べて負担が少なく、傷跡もほとんど目立ちません。ただしダウンタイムは1週間ほどかかり、痛みや腫れ・内出血が見られることもあります。糸を使ったリフトアップ術の中では、それほど普及しているわけではなく、技術的に高度なため熟練したドクターが少ない点はデメリットと言えます。そのため施術部分が引きつれたり、違和感を覚えたり、しばらくすると戻りが見られたりするリスクがあります。効果が薄いときは再手術を受けることもできますが、それだけ料金相場は高くなります。
