エックス（Ｘ）トーシスは糸を用いた顔のリフトアップ施術の一つです。こめかみの辺りと頬の皮膚の組織に糸を2本入れてV字型に交差させて引き上げることにより、たるんだ頬を改善することができます。この時、使用する糸に一定方向の引っ掛かりがいくつも付いているため、それらがたるんだ組織を引っ掛けて上に引き上げることができるのです。施術方法としては挿入口より糸を通し、引き上げ具合を調整しながら余分な糸を切り取ります。最後に微調整をして傷口を固定すれば施術は終了です。ダウンタイムも一週間程度と短めで、施術による目立った傷もできないので軽いたるみを解消したいという方には人気があります。ダウンタイム中の症状としては痛みや腫れが出る可能性がありますが、冷やしたタオルやアイスパックなどで冷やすと症状を緩和することができます。このような糸を使う施術はいくつかありますが、エックス（Ｘ）トーシスは軽度から中程度のたるみ改善に効果的です。
短くて1年ほど、長くても数年のリフトアップ効果
糸を使用するリフトアップ施術には持続年数があります。施術に用いる糸によって異なりますが、エックス（Ｘ）トーシスの場合は短くて1年ほど、長くても数年のリフトアップ効果があります。そしてたるみを除去するのではなく引き上げによって解消するため、たるみが大きい場合は効果は期待できません。そのようなたるみを解消したい場合は他の施術方法を行う必要があります。また、このような中程度のたるみ改善が期待できるエックス（Ｘ）トーシスですが、この施術の経験が豊富な医師はそういません。だからと言って経験不足な未熟な医師に行ってもらったり、格安料金のクリニックで施術を受けると強い引き付け感が出たり効果が全く出ない可能性があります。そうなると再施術の必要が出たり、費用の返金をめぐってクリニックとトラブルになる可能性もあります。そのようにならないためには、この施術を受けるにあたり経験が豊富な医師のいる信頼できるクリニックを探す必要があります。
