エックス（Ｘ）トーシスは糸を用いたリフトアップ施術の一つです。側頭部から頬にかけてV字型に糸を通すことで加齢による頬のたるみを引き上げます。使用する糸は一定方向の棘状の毛羽立ちがあります。そのためその棘がたるんだ皮膚組織を引っ掛けて上に引っ張り上げることができるのです。施術方法としてはこめかみの部分を少し切開し、糸を通してから調整します。このような方法のため、整形といっても傷口も小さく短時間で施術を終えることができます。ダウンタイムも一週間程度と割と短めで、その間も痛みや腫れが出る可能性はありますが冷やすことで緩和できるので、仕事に支障は出ません。このように短期間で効果が出やすく、普段の生活に支障が出にくいように感じるエックス（Ｘ）トーシスですが、施術をする上でやはりデメリットもあります。もし、この施術を受けることを考えているのなら、施術のデメリットもきちんと踏まえた上で受けることをおすすめします。
持続年数は早ければ1年程、長くても数年
まず、エックス（Ｘ）トーシスの効果は全てのたるみに有効というわけではありません。エックス（Ｘ）トーシスはたるんだ組織を取り除くのではなく、上に引き上げることによって解消する方法です。そのため、軽度から中程度のたるみなら糸の調整次第で綺麗に引き上げることはできますが、程度の大きいたるみは解消することができません。また、糸を使用したリフトアップ施術のほとんどは効果の持続年数が限られています。エックス（Ｘ）トーシスも同様で、持続年数は早ければ1年程、長くても数年です。そのため半永久的な効果は期待できません。このようなデメリットがこの施術にはあります。そして、効果の出方も医師の技術力次第です。この施術は多くの医師ができるわけではないため、受けるのなら経験が豊富な医師を探さなければいけません。もし経験がほとんどない医師に受けると糸の調整が上手くいかずに引きつったり、効果が出なかったりと失敗してしまう可能性が大きいからです。そのため、受けるのであれば前述したデメリットも踏まえた上で信頼できる医師がいるクリニックで受けることをおすすめします。
