Vビームレーザーは、毛細血管拡張症や血管腫の治療においては、最も適したレーザーとされています。これまでもレーザーは治療に用いられていましたが、波長が短いために皮膚深達度が低いという難点があり、そのために、深い病変などには効果が期待できないことも多くありました。しかし、Vビームレーザーは波長が長く、周辺組織へのダメージを最小限にして色調の薄い病変にも鋭い反応性を持つものとなっています。また、血管の太さに合わせて出力設定を行うことができるために、症状の種類を問わずに異常血管を効果的に治療すること可能となっています。
Vビームレーザーは、肌の深部にまでレーザーを到達させることで、赤ら顔や赤あざ、単純性血管腫や苺状血管腫などの症状を改善できるメリットがあります。また、アンチェイジングの治療機としても、皮膚の張りに効果があることから利用されていますが、施術を受ける場合にはデメリットがあることも認識をしておく必要があり、行う医師によっても、その効果が異なる場合があります。
中々効果が見られない場合
Vビームレーザーは、これまで使用されてきたレーザーと異なり、皮膚の奥深くにまで届くために効率の高い治療を行うことができます。また、冷却システムがついているために、周辺組織のダメージを最小限に抑えることができ、そのために以前よりも強いエネルギーを照射することが可能となっています。しかし、そこにはデメリットもあり、まず、大きなものとして、人によって中々効果が見られない場合があります。医師のレベルも大きく左右しますが、約2％程度の確率で起こることがあり、痛みお覚えてしまうこともあります。
Vビームレーザーでは、合併症があることも認識をしておく必要があります。まず、内出血があり、通常は施術後2～3週間程度で自然に吸収されますが、症状によっては化粧でも隠しきれない場合があります。次に、腫れがあります。患部は照射をされることで一時的に膨張することになり、周囲には若干むくんだ印象を与えてしまうことになります。3つ目としては炎症後色素沈着があり、原因としては、照射熱による皮膚の炎症があります。炎症後に色素沈着を起こすことになり、消滅はするものの、それには数ヵ月の期間が必要になります。
