裏ハムラ法は、目の下のたるみや膨らみ、黒くま（影くま）を改善するために用いられる美容整形方法です。
下まぶたの裏側から切開して眼窩の脂肪を凹みに移動させるので、ハムラ法に比べて傷跡が残りにくいというメリットがあります。
ただし、下まぶたの裏側から切開する方法では術野の確保が難しく、技術力が高くないと失敗してしまう可能性が高いというデメリットがあります。
失敗してしまうと目元に左右差ができてしまったり、凸凹が平らになりすぎて不自然にのっぺりした顔立ちに仕上がってしまうこともあります。
また、裏ハムラ法は皮膚のたるみが多い、目元の脂肪が多い、皮膚が厚ぼったい、目が小さい、といったタイプの人には不向きです。
脂肪が多い人だと、たとえ移動させたとしても皮膚があまって、下に垂れた感じになり老け込んだ印象に仕上がってしまうことがあります。
目の小さい人や皮膚が厚ぼったい人は、膨らみが解消しても目元のしわが解消されない可能性があります。
白眼に結膜浮腫ができてしまう可能性
裏ハムラ法は、一般的には局所麻酔を使って手術します。希望に応じて静脈麻酔が適用になることもあり、この場合には手術中の意識がありません。
痛みの感じ方は個人差がありますし、クリニックの技術力によっても変わってきます。ただし、経験が浅いクリニックだと痛みが強くなってしまう可能性もあるので、選ぶ時には注意が必要です。
術後3〜5日ほど腫れが続き、そのあと1週間ほどで徐々に腫れがひいていきます。
ただし、クリニックの技術力によっては白眼に結膜浮腫ができてしまう可能性があるというデメリットがあります。この場合は2週間〜3ヶ月程度腫れが長引いてしまうこともあります。
裏ハムラ法は失敗してしまうと、術後の皮膚に凸凹ができたり、くまや凹みができてしまうこともあります。これは自然には解消されません。
