しみは性別に関係なく発生する症状です。紫外線を浴び続けたり、摩擦などのダメージが蓄積することで、色素沈着を起こしてしまっている状態です。
一方で、これらの原因以外で症状を発するものが存在します。肝斑と呼ばれるしみの一種で、30代～40代の女性によく見られる症状です。主にホルモンバランスが原因であるとされています。
肝斑治療に使われるのが、スペクトラという医療用レーザーです。特殊なレーザーを患部にあてることで、少しずつしみを薄くすることが可能です。
スペクトラを利用するには、名医を探すようにしましょう。というのも、肝斑の治療は普通のしみ治療とは性質が異なるからです。
名医であれば、普通のしみであるか、肝斑が原因なのかを突き止めることが可能です。間違った診断をしてしまうと、ますます肝斑が悪化する状態を作り出してしまいます。高度な医療機器などを用いて、きちんとしみの状態を検査してくれる名医のいる医療機関なら安心です。
塗り薬から対応する施術が良い
スペクトラの利用で名医を選びたい理由の一つとして、レーザー治療を受けるというのが引っかかる部分です。実は、一般的なしみ治療で使われる医療用レーザーの中には、肝斑のしみを濃くしてしまうものが存在します。
普通のレーザー治療の医療機関だと、このリスクが生じる可能性がありますので、できるだけリスクを避けるために、スペクトラを導入している医療機関を受診するようにしてください。
場合によっては、いきなりスペクトラを利用するのではなく、まず塗り薬から始める医療機関も存在します。基本的に肝斑治療には塗り薬が使われることが多いですので、レーザー治療から開始してくれない医師は名医ではないと判断するのは誤りです。その人の症状によっては、塗り薬でも十分な改善を目指せることがあります。
レーザー治療を行っている最中は、皮膚の状態がとてもデリケートになります。外出時には日焼け止めの使用や帽子をかぶるなどの、紫外線対策を必ずしましょう。
