例えば、肝斑の治療を受けるためにスペクトラによる照射を受けた場合は、術後のアフターケアにはあまり気をつかう必要はありません。肝斑治療で用いられるレーザーは低出力かつ短時間であるため、皮膚へのダメージが少ないからです。ダウンタイムも短いため、女性はレーザー照射を受けた後、少し時間をおくだけで通常通りにメイクをして外出することが可能です。しかし、あまり気をつかわなくて良いとはいえ、入浴時や洗顔時にいつものように力を入れて身体を洗ってしまうと、施術を受ける前より照射を受けた部分の皮膚の状態が悪化してしまうおそれがあるので注意が必要です。
皮膚へのダメージは予想以上
スペクトラでは従来のレーザー治療器と同じように、シミやそばかす、タトゥーなどの除去にも用いることができますが、これらの治療ではある程度高出力のレーザーがスペクトラから照射されます。そのため、皮膚へのダメージもそれなりに大きくなるので、施術を受けた後のアフターケアはしっかりと行わなければなりません。
スペクトラを導入している美容皮膚科の多くは、施術を受け終えた人に対して独自に調製した塗り薬や内服薬などを処方しており、アフターケアにはこれを使用することになります。薬には、施術後の皮膚に生じる赤みやかゆみを抑える成分や、紫外線から皮膚を守る効果がある成分などが含まれているので、用法と用量をきちんと守って使用しましょう。
また、単に処方された薬をつかうだけでなく、施術を受けてから1～2日程度は風呂やシャワーを避けたり、肌の露出が少ない服を着るようにするなど、自分自身で皮膚のダメージが悪化しないように注意していくことも重要です。治療のスケジュールが後ろ倒しになることが無いように、アフターケアは怠らないようにしましょう。
