リガメントリフトとは、フェイスリフトの方法の一種です。リガメントとは顔の皮膚と骨の間にある骨を強く固定している靭帯のことを指します。固定している部分は貝柱のように見えます。
リガメントのある部分の皮膚は通常、あまり垂れ下がることなく定着しています。しかしそれ以外の部分の皮膚については加齢などの原因によって大きく垂れ下がってきます。全体的に垂れ下がるのではなく、部分部分で垂れ下がって見えたりそうではなかったりしますので顔の表面がでこぼこしたような形になり、また顔全体がたるみが原因となり四角くなっていきます。
リガメントリフトは、固定しているリガメントを外すことによって顔の皮膚にできたたるみを引っ張り挙げて平らに近づけさせます。従来の方法では得られなかったリフト効果がこの方法によって得られるようになります。痛みについては全身麻酔でコントロールし、内出血や腫れを最小限に留めることもできるためダウンタイムは短めで済みます。
痛みや内出血、腫れについては大体2週間くらい
ただ、リガメントリフトのダウンタイム期間においてはタブーとされていることもありますので注意します。まずリガメントリフトを受けた後は傷口がどうしてもできてしまいますので、傷口を広げないような配慮をとることは求められます。感染症にかかるリスクについてもありますので、激しい運動を行うことについてはしばらくはしないようにしたほうが良いでしょう。
シャワーについては手術当日については避けるようにします。痛みや内出血、腫れについては大体2週間くらいもすれば収まってきます。手術1週間くらいしたら抜糸をして後は腫れが収まるのを待ちます。強い痛み、赤みなど肌に症状がある場合には、速やかに医師の診察を受けて適切な治療を行うようにします。傷跡は1ヶ月ほどでほとんど目立つことがなくなります。
妊娠中に該当する場合の手術については、胎児への影響も考えると内容によって禁じられている場合もありますので、医師と相談することが第一です。
