ライムライトは日本人医師により開発された最新の光治療器で、日本人に多い薄いシミを治すのに非常に高い効果を得ることができます。従来も光治療が行われていましたが従来の光治療では限界がありました。従来の光治療では難しかった薄いシミやそばかすを効果的に除去するのができるようになったのがライムライトです。手術自体は痛みも少なく肌の色調トラブルや質感のトラブルなど、混合した症状を同時に改善するために肌の印象を良くすることができます。ここまではメリットばかり書いてきましたが、失敗の可能性などデメリットもあります。まずデメリットとして挙げられるのが火傷です。これはシミの部分に光治療を強く当てすぎると火傷をする場合があり、火傷をさけるために弱く当てすぎると効果がでないことがあります。このように当てる加減を調整しなければ納得のいかない仕上がりになるかもしれないので、経験や実績がある医師にしてもらうことをおすすめします。
アフターケアが成否を決める
またライムライトの手術を受ける場合はアフターケアをしっかりと行う必要があります。まず手術後は日焼けをしないように十分配慮することが求められます。さらに日焼け直後は治療をすることができないので特に夏場は日焼けをしないようにしっかりと管理する必要があります。効果がでるまで行う場合、治療に数ヶ月かかることがあり、途中で辞めてしまうと効果が半減してしまうことがあります。治療中に日焼けをした場合や途中で治療を辞めた場合は、同じ箇所のシミやそばかすが再度できる恐れがあるので注意が必要です。このようにライムライト治療における失敗だけでなく、治療後のアフターケアによって効果がなくなる場合も高く、しっかりとアフターケアをしないと赤みや乾燥が現れます。治療後は丹念にそして継続的に保湿や紫外線対策をして、赤みやほてりがある場合にはクールダウンを行うことで効果を得ることができる可能性も増えますし、失敗をすることも少なくなります。
