PRP療法とは、多血小板血漿を用いた治療法であり再生治療のひとつになります。その仕組みとしては採取された血液から成長因子や血小板を抽出して得られた多血小板血漿を皮膚に注入するというものになります。効果としては多血小板血漿を注入することで、細胞が活性化されるということで再生能力を高めることが可能です。このため美容整形の分野では皮膚に注入することでたるみやしわを改善することが期待できます。
一方で、PRP療法は、対応しているクリニックがまだ少数ですし、クリニックによってその多血小板血漿の抽出方法や取り出す成長因子などの違いもあります。このため料金相場もクリニックによって大きく変わってきますが、１ヶ所あたり２０万円から４０万円が相場とされています。
また多血小板血漿は自己の血液から抽出されますが、その時の体調によって内容が変化しますし、もともと血小板が少ないといった人の場合には、効果が出ないリスクがあります。このため、価格に見合った効果が出るかどうかわかりにくい傾向にあります。

いずれにしても人によっては単に抽出した多血小板血漿でも効果が出る人もいますし、出ない人もいるため、治療を受ける前に十分にカウンセリングと説明、そしてPRP療法に適しているかどうかの血液の検査を受ける必要があります。
