ミニリフトの失敗については、まずは、効果が元々わかりにくいフェイスリフトである事を知っておく必要があります。
ミニリフトは、「部分的」にリフトする方法となります。
おもな治療方法としては、耳周囲の皮膚を切開し、耳の前にあるＳＭＡＳ部分の切除、および引き上げ等を行います。
この場合、「アゴから首にかけて、リフトアップを実感することが出来ます」が、位置的に「アコから頬、頬から首にかけては、実感しにくいアップ方法」といえます。
この為、鏡を正面からみた場合に、当然ながらその効果は実感しにくいものとなりますので、「効果がない・失敗した」と感じてしまう事も多いようです。
頬のリフトアップを望む場合は、本格的なフェイスリフトか、糸を使ったフェイスリフトが望ましい手術・美容整形となります。
治療後が残りにくく、費用的にも勧めやすいため、ドクターはミニリフトをよく勧めてきますが、治療内容や効果については、事前にドクターによく尋ねる事をおすすめします。
ミニリフトの施術後には多少の腫れは発生
尚、前述のとおり、「アゴから首にかけてのリフトアップ」もまったく実感できないような場合は、手術の失敗も考えられます。
手術が失敗している場合は、実際に引き上がっていなかったり、皮膚の引き連れの原因となります。
術後は、皮膚組織がダメージを受けていますので、ミニリフトの施術後には多少の腫れは発生します。
手術の効果を明らかに出すために、深い処理を施された場合は、特に腫れる事となりますので、あらかじめ承知しておく必要があります。
施術で「切る治療」を行うフェイスリフトでは、ミニリフトを含め、腫れは必ず発生しますし、深い施術になればそれだけ腫れる事となります。

ミニリフトの施術が失敗した場合の症状としては、
「耳たぶが変形してしまう」
「ピクピクと引き連れがおさまらない」
「実際に引き上がっていない」

リフト手術をしての傷跡が残る失敗例があります。
ミニリフトは切開の美容整形ですが、ちょうど髪の毛の中に傷跡が隠れますので、術後もあまり目立たないで住みます。
だいたい耳の前の方の、軟骨のあたりに沿うところを、だいたい3cmくらい切り開いて、皮膚を後ろ方向へと引っ張ることで、部分的なたるみ解消の耐えに、シワが伸びます。
部分的のたるみは、だいたいこれで解消を出来るので、コンパクトなリフトの美容整形術でもあります。切開はフルでやるよりも、かなり小さいです。
リフト手術後のひきつれ
ミニリフトの美容整形をするとしたら、皮膚を引っ張り上げることで、ひきつれの症状が生じることもあります。
これは代表的なデメリットであり、余りにもひどいと、修正の手術を検討する可能性も出てきます。
処置は皮膚だけなのか、それともSMAS筋膜までの範囲の処置なのかで、施術の内容も金額も変わってきます。
傷跡は古フェイスリフトよりは小さいもので済みますが、手術に失敗をしてしまうと、ひきつれを強く感じることがあります。
リフト手術をしても効果が無い
ミニリフトの美容整形で効果が無いというのは、ミニのリフトアップでは対処できないほど、顔の皮膚のたるみが重症化している可能性があります。部分的なたるみを改善するには、ミニのリフトアップ術は適しています。フルフェイスリフトで全体を引き上げなくても、部分的なので傷が最小限です。ですが、部分的の引き上げでは足りなくて、全体を引き上げないといけないほどであれば、ミニという部分的な治療では間に合いません。
修正は結構難しい
ミニリフトとは、皮膚を切開することで肌を引っ張り上げる美容整形術です。
リフトアップする場所としては顔を指し、単にリフトアップといえばフェイスリフトを指しますが、ミニリフトではこのうち顔全体ではなくこめかみ辺りの皮膚を切除して皮膚を引っ張りあげる方法になります。
メリットとしては、髪の毛の生えている部分の皮膚を切除するので、縫合跡が髪が生えることで隠されるという点です。
一方でこの施術では皮膚だけを切除して縫合する方法と、皮膚と表情筋の間にある表在性筋膜も引っ張り上げる方法があります。
顔のたるみの原因としては皮膚だけでなく皮膚の下にある表情筋の影響も大きく受けているケースがあり、より深く切除することでその効果を高めることができます。
なお、ミニリフトにしてもリフトアップにしても余分な箇所を切除し一方の方向に引っ張り上げて縫合してしわやたるみを取り除く術式であるため一度行うと修正することは困難です。
医師の技量が大きく左右されるため失敗するリスクもあります
ミニリフトのメリットとしては、余分な皮膚を切除する方法であるため切除した部分以外への影響が殆ど無いといったことがあります。
また髪の毛が生えてくる場所で切除するので縫合跡も目立ちにくいものとなります。
ただ美容整形では医師の技量が大きく左右されるため失敗するリスクもあります。
ミニリフトで多い失敗としては特に縫合跡が目立つ場所まで及ぶケースです。
ミニリフトでは髪の毛で隠される場所で切除し縫合しますが、髪の毛が生えている部位を切除するため、切除範囲によっては髪の毛が生えてこなくなるケースもあります。この場合の修正には植毛といった方法が行われます。
また顔の皮膚が引っ張ることでしわやたるみが改善しますが、縫合する場所によっては耳が引っ張られることになり、耳たぶが立って耳が大きく見えるようになるリスクがあります。
あまりにも耳が大きく見える場合には修正手術を行うことで改善することが可能です。
また引っ張りあげている力が強い場合には、埋め込んである糸を取り除くといった修正が行われます。
