コラーゲン注入は、コラーゲンを注射器を用いて皮膚に注入する美容整形術のひとつです。切開を伴わないためダウンタイムが短くプチ整形の代表的な方法としても知られます。コラーゲンは皮膚にもともと存在する物質であるため、コラーゲン注入を行うことで皮膚の張りを取り戻すことができ、このためしわやたるみを改善することができます。
一方でリスクとしては美容整形術全般に言えることですが、医師の技量によって仕上がりが思ったような状態にならなかったり、効果を得られないといったものがあります。コラーゲン注入での最大のリスクとしてはアレルギー反応が出る可能性があるということです。皮膚への注射であるため副作用はほとんど出ないとされますが、報告されているものとしては、吐き気やめまい、頭痛などのほか間接痛、目のかすみ、発疹、インフルエンザ症候群などがあります。このためコラーゲンを注入する場合には使用するコラーゲンの質が重要になってきます。
アレルギー反応が現れるリスク
コラーゲン注入のリスクを下げるためには、コラーゲンの種類を考慮する必要があります。一般にコラーゲン注入で使われるコラーゲンとしては、子牛の皮膚から抽出されたものが使われます。比較的、安価なものであるため１ｃｍ程度の注入で１万円程度から受けることが可能です。一方で、その効果は２ヶ月から６ヶ月と短く、さらにアレルギー反応が現れるリスクがあります。このため事前にテストを行うことになりますが、テストでは検査代が必要になります。
一方で新しいものとしては、ヒューマンコラーゲンがあり、ヒト線維芽細胞が原料となったコラーゲンで、アレルギー反応がないのがメリットといえますが、１本あたりの価格が１５万円程度と高額ですが、効果は１年ほど持続とされます。またオートコラーゲンでは、患者の脂肪を吸引して抽出し、そこからコラーゲンを抽出して注入するものですが費用は３０万円と高額です。
いずれにしても安価なコラーゲン注入ではアレルギー反応のリスクがあることに留意しておく必要があります。
