人間は顔を見て年齢を意識することになりますが、このさいに年齢を高く見せるものが皮膚のたるみやしわです。たるみやしわが多いと年齢を高く見られがちで、特に４０歳をこえる頃から大きく目立つようになります。
一方でこれら顔のたるみやしわを取り除くことをフェイスリフトアップといいます。
フェイスリフトアップは化粧品などでも使われている言葉ですが、美容整形の分野でも広く行われています。そのフェイスリフトアップの美容整形術のひとつがこめかみリフトです。
こめかみリフトはこめかみのある部分を切開して縫合することで皮膚を引っ張り上げてリフトアップするというものです。特に効果があるのが目尻などでしわやたるみを解消することができます。
一方でデメリットとしては切開して縫合するため傷跡が残ることや、過剰に皮膚を引っ張り上げると表情が不自然になる可能性があります。特に目尻を引っ張りあげるため過剰に引っ張ると目尻が上がり顔の印象が変わるリスクがあります。
前髪を垂らす髪型でないと縫合跡が目立つ可能性
こめかみリフトで注意すべき点は、傷跡と縫合して引っ張りあげる量になります。こめかみリフトでは切開する場所としては髪の毛の生え際と髪の毛のある部分の２ヶ所があります。
生え際の場合には髪の毛を剃る必要がないのがメリットですが、前髪を垂らす髪型でないと縫合跡が目立つ可能性があります。
一方で髪の毛のある場所を切開するためには髪の毛の一部を剃り落とさなければならないデメリットがあります。
手術そのものは３時間程度で、１週間後に抜糸を行うのが一般的です。なお縫合場所は抜糸までの間、止血目的でバンドで圧迫を行うケースもあり、そのため帽子などで隠さないと手術をしたことが見た目にも分かることになります。
一方で引っ張りあげる量が大きすぎると不自然な表情になるリスクがありますし反対に引っ張りあげる量が少ないと効果を得られないケースもあります。
このため事前のカウンセリングやシミュレーションで十分に計画を立ててから行う必要があります。

このこめかみリフトで最も厄介だと言えるデメリットは、切開した毛髪内がハゲるという問題が起こり得るという点です。
メスで切開する際に目立たなくするため、頭髪の生え際や頭皮の部分を切除することになるのですが、その部分の毛髪がなくなってしまう恐れがあります。この場合時間が経つと改善することもあるのですが、ハゲたままになってしまうこともあるため、やはり信頼できる医師の手で手術を受けることが肝心だと言えます。
