溶けない糸で行う場合では、糸の種類を選ぶことができます。糸にはとげのような加工がされていたり、円錐のような形をしたものが連なったような形状になっているタイプもあり、これらが皮膚の組織に絡みつくことでしっかりと固定することができます。けれども、糸はとけないのでもしも思っていたような仕上がりにならなかったという場合には手術をして糸を引き抜かなければならないというデメリットがあります。引っ掛けてしっかりと固定させてしまったために取り除くのが困難となることもあり、切らないフェイスリフトを受ける際には失敗がないように事前のカウンセリングをしっかりと受けて自分の希望を伝え、信頼のできる医師のいるクリニックで施術を受けるようにします。
