整形方法の中には金の糸を使う美容法があります。金の糸は髪の毛ほどに細い純度の高い糸を顔や首や手など、加齢によってたるみやシワの出やすい部分に格子状に埋め込みます。すると肌にハリや弾力が出て若返る効果があります。また、シミやニキビ跡を改善する美白効果もあります。その理由としては、皮膚が糸を挿入されることにより免疫反応を起こします。糸周辺の組織が傷つくことにより、傷を治そうとする治癒力が高まります。同時に免疫細胞が活性化するため、コラーゲンが生成されハリや弾力が生まれるのです。このような美容効果のある金の糸ですが、まれに埋め込むことによって炎症や腫れ、かゆみなどが出る可能性があります。ダウンタイム中はそのような症状が出ることもありますが、症状が落ち着かずに長引く場合、それは金に対してアレルギーを起こしている可能性があります。そのような場合、埋め込んだ糸を取り除く修正が必要となります。しかし、この場合気をつけなくてはいけないことがあります。

まず、金の糸によるアレルギーを起こしている場合はそれを取り除く修正施術が必要ですが、ただ取り除けばいいというものでもありません。金の糸は埋め込まれて時間が経過するにつれ、断片化し全ての除去が難しくなってしまいます。また、金イオンが組織に溶け出す可能性もあります。すると除去をしても症状がすぐに落ち着かない場合があります。そのため、取り除く際は埋め込んだ組織周辺をきちんと確認しながら取り残しのないように注意しなければいけません。そして、金の糸の場合、施術前のパッチテストではクリアしたのにアレルギーを発症することもあります。その原因としては体内に取り込むことにより身体が金に反応しやすくなる場合もあるからです。このように金には多くの美容効果がありますが、メリットだけではなくこのようなリスクが起こる可能性もあります。その際は修正が必要となりますが、簡単にはできません。そのため金を用いた施術を受ける際はそのようなリスクを踏まえた上で受けることをおすすめします。
