金の糸とは髪の毛程の細い純金の糸を顔や手などのたるみが目立つ所に埋め込む技術で、ゴールデンリフトとも呼ばれます。表皮の下の真皮層にまで埋め込むために、後で自然に溶けて無くなる補助糸を併用するクリニックが多いです。ゴールデンリフトは皮膚が自身を治そうとして起こす「創傷治癒」と異物を排除しようとする「免疫反応」を利用し、アンチエイジング効果を得るのが目的です。リスクは金を用いるので金属アレルギーが起こりうることが1つあります。金は王水などの特殊な溶液や酸にしか溶解しないので安全な物質と考えられてきました。しかし、ゴールデンリフトは常に人体が金に触れ続けることになるので少しずつ溶け出して体内に溜まることが考えられます。海外で行われた金に対するパッチテストでは10%前後と意外に高い数値が確認され、金による金属アレルギーリスクは低くないことが分かりました。時間経過と共にアレルギーになる確率は高まるので、検査時は安全でも将来はどうなるか分からない不安もあります。
術後の腫れが取れない場合は治療したクリニックに相談
ゴールデンリフトは金の糸を直接埋め込むので顔や手の表面がデコボコになったり、金の糸が切れて手術が無意味になるなどのリスクもあります。一般的には2~3ヵ月程で効果が出ますが、個人差がとても大きく時間がかかるのもネックです。手術後の腫れが引くまでの時間はダウンタイムと呼ばれ、2～3日程かかります。埋め込む金の量や部位によって料金は変わりますが、顔全体に埋め込む場合は30万~50万円程必要です。手術の失敗を感じたり、術後の腫れが取れない場合は治療したクリニックに相談をすると、無料で再手術をしてくれることもあります。但し、確実ではないので治療を受ける前に優良なクリニックを選び、契約内容を確認しておくことが大切です。
