金の糸によるアンチエイジングは、古代エジプト時代からあったと言われています。顔や首筋などの真皮層に極細の金の糸を、縦横の格子状に埋め込む手術ですが、糸でリフトアップするわけではありません。埋め込まれた部分は傷を修復しようとして、細胞分裂を活性化させます。また免疫反応により線維芽細胞が刺激を受け、コラーゲンが盛んに産生されます。こうした作用で肌の弾力が戻り、シワやたるみが改善して、若返りの効果が期待できます。糸が切れたら終わりではなく、効果が半永久的に続き、若々しい肌を保てるのもメリットのひとつとされています。
金の糸は局所麻酔をした上で施術するため、ほとんど痛みを感じることはありません。施術には極細の注射針を使用します。皮膚を切開してリフトアップするのに比べれば、ダウンタイムはずっと短く、内出血や腫れも抑えることができます。とはいえ個人差はあるので、あらかじめリスクについて知っておくことは重要です。
ダウンタイムはだいたい1週間
金の糸の施術時間は、クリニックによっても異なり、だいたい30分～1時間程度です。入院の必要はありませんが、麻酔が覚めるまで全体として2～3時間は見ておくと良いでしょう。クリームや注射を用いて麻酔するため、術中の痛みはわずかです。術後の腫れもほとんどなく、翌日には引く場合が多いとされていますが、個人差はあります。医師の技量によっては血管を傷つけることがあり、内出血が1～2週間ほど残ることがあります。ダウンタイムはだいたい1週間と言われていますが、施術の翌日にはメイクができるので、目立たないようにすることは可能です。
金の糸は従来考えられていたよりも、金属アレルギーを起こすリスクが高いことが分かってきました。また一度施術を受けると取り出すことが難しいという問題点もあります。こうしたリスクを十分に説明してくれるクリニックを選ぶことが大切です。もちろん経験豊富で技術力のある医師に施術を受けるのが望ましいでしょう。
