炭酸ガスレーザーはくすんだ皮膚を美肌に導く若返り治療であったり、毛穴の開き・黒ずみやニキビ跡の治療、ホクロ・イボを除去する治療法として人気ですが、濃くなったシミや目立つホクロを除去する事が可能な一方で、その効果ゆえにダウンタイムが心配な方も多いかもしれません。
炭酸ガスレーザーは水に吸収されやすい性質を持つ高出力のレーザーを照射する事によって、皮膚に点状の小さな穴をあけて肌の再生力を促す事で様々な皮膚トラブルを改善しようという治療法ですが、施術を終えた直後はヒリヒリとした痛みや赤みといった症状が出ます。
ダウンタイム時に内出血が起こる事はないですが、赤み以外にも腫れ・乾燥・ざらつきなどの症状が起こりますし、症状には個人差があるので、通常赤みが引くまでに3日程度で済む場合が多いところ、治療後に赤みなどの症状が長引いて外出が困難になるケースもあります。
また、治療後1日から3日の間に小さなかさぶたが形成されますが、かさぶたは1週間程度で自然に剥がれ落ちますし、処方された軟膏を患部に塗ったりテーピングで対応する事になります。
洗顔・入浴・メイクは24時間後・翌日以降から可能
炭酸ガスレーザー治療はメスを使わない治療法で施術時間も短いですが、痛みがあるため局所麻酔や麻酔クリームで痛みを軽減したりクーリング剤による冷却を受ける事となります。
治療後は肌が敏感な状態のため日焼けは厳禁であり要注意が必要ですが、洗顔・入浴・メイクは24時間後・翌日以降から可能ですし、通常は内出血などの症状はなく、ダウンタイム時の症状である赤みや極小のかさぶたによる皮膚のざらつきも1週間程度でなくなります。
ただ、実際に炭酸ガスレーザーを受けた人の中には腫れは数日で引いたものの、ダウンタイム時の赤みが1週間過ぎても一向に収まらず、外出の際や仕事中はマスクが必須になるという事もあるので注意が必要です。
また、炭酸ガスレーザーのダウンタイムでは赤みより肌の乾燥が長引くという事も多いようなので、普段パウダータイプのファンデーションを使ってメイクをしている方は、リキッドタイプのファンデーションに変えた方が粉が吹いてカサカサした肌にはならずに済みます。
