アクアミド注入は、アクアミドを注射器で注入することによって鼻筋を高くしたり、顎先のラインを整えたり、目の周りの皺などを薄くする効果のあるプチ整形です。方法はヒアルロン酸注入と同じで入院や通院の必要がなく、手軽に受けることが出来るというイメージがありますが、大きな違いはヒアルロン酸と異なり体内で吸収されないということ。そのため、施術を受けた後の結果が気に入らない場合やアレルギーや皮膚の違和感などの副作用が出た場合、元に戻したい場合は切開手術によってアクアミドを取り除く手術を行わなくてはなりません。アクアミド除去は高度な技術が必要な手術になり、皮膚に染み込んでしまった場合や血管などに入りこんでしまった場合は完全な除去が困難といえます。アクアミド除去の手術を受ける際は技術・実績などに優れた信頼のおける医師に執刀してもらいましょう。尚、このアクアミド除去によるデメリットも当然ありますので、それも踏まえておきましょう。
デメリットは、メスを使用するため傷跡が残る
上にも挙げたとおり、アクアミドはヒアルロン酸と違って一定の期間が経過しても体内に吸収されることはありません。
一度注入したアクアミドを取り除くためには皮膚を切開し、かき出して取り除いていく必要があります。
アクアミド除去の手術は局所麻酔や静脈麻酔のもとで行われ、クリニックによって違いはありますが価格はおよそ１０～３０万円程が相場になり、静脈麻酔を選択した場合は局所麻酔と比べて２～５万円ほど高くなります。
手術時間は大体３０分～１時間前後で終了しますが注入したアクアミドの量や場所によっても異なってきます。
ダウンタイムは一週間～１０日前後とみて良いでしょう。
アクアミド除去の手術を行うと違和感やしこり、副作用などがなくなり、元の状態に戻す（近づく）ことが出来ますがその反面、デメリットもあります。デメリットには、メスを使用するため、傷跡が残るということ・癒着が強く、完全に取りきれないことなどが挙げられます。
