ACR療法のACRは多血小板を意味しており、日本語では多血小板療法と呼ばれます。このACR療法の用途としては皮膚の若返りや再生を促すというものであり、採取した血液から成長因子を分離して抽出し、それを気になる場所の皮膚に注入するというものです。効果としては皮膚を若返らせることができ、再生を活発にさせることによってしわやたるみといった皮膚の老化を改善させることができます。また自身の血液を用いるので、拒否反応やアレルギー反応がなく腫れや内出血などもほとんどないためダウンタイムも短くて済むといったメリットがあります。
一方でACR療法は対応しているクリニックが少ないのが現状で、選択肢が少ないといえます。また切らない美容整形術であるため、安易に行うケースもあり、しっかりとカウンセリングや検査をしてくれるクリニックを選ぶことが重要です。料金相場としては、注入する量、本数によって変わってきますが１ヶ所の施術で２０万円前後となっています。

一方でACR療法は皮膚を若返らせるための治療であるため、再生治療の一種に分類されます。多くはしわやたるみ、ほうれい線など顔の肌の弾力を取り戻すために使われていますが、皮膚を再生能力を活発にすることができるので、ニキビ跡や傷跡の治療などにも使われます。特にACR療法を別の切開をともなう美容整形術を行ったさいに傷跡を目立たなくするために行うクリニックもあり、用途の広い治療法といえます。
