ACR療法は、PRP療法とも呼ばれるものです。ACR療法では自身の血液を採取し、その血液から成長因子を抽出した多血小板血漿を任意の場所に注入することで、その細胞活動を活性化させ再生を促すというものです。このため傷跡の再生やアンチエイジングとして使われる再生療法のひとつになります。
ACR療法は美容整形の分野でも広く使われており、その効果としては、しわやたるみのほか細胞の再生力を高めることができるため目の下のクマやニキビ跡のような皮膚のデコボコなどを改善することが可能です。また単なるしわやたるみ取りのために使われるのではなく切開を伴う美容整形術の縫合の治癒を高めるためにも使われます。
患者自身の血液から抽出されるためアレルギー反応が出ないメリットがあります。一方でダウンタイムは１週間前後は見ておく必要があります。痛みや内出血は少ないですが、腫れが強く出る可能性があり、術後１週間程度は安静にして過ごすのが無難です。

ACR療法のメリットとしては、コラーゲンや筋肉の再生を行うよりもたるみやしわの改善が期待できることと、また細胞が活性化されるので皮膚の柔らかさが増してハリも出ます。一方でデメリットやリスクとしては、ACR療法を取り扱っているクリニックがまだ少ないということで、医師の技量がクリニックによって変わってきます。
成長因子を取り出すこと自体は機械が自動でやってくれますが、注入に関しては医師の技量が大きく影響します。このためダウンタイムが長引くケースもありますし、痛みや内出血、腫れが起こるリスクもあります。
特に失敗例としては注入によって膨らみ過ぎたり、しこりがのこってしまうといったことがあり、反対に注入の量がなく効果が出なかったといったケースがあります。
また細胞の再生を促す治療法であるためダウンタイムの間は安静に過ごす方が良いとされますが、過度に刺激を与えなければ仕上がりにそれほどの変化は起こりません。
