目の下に脂肪によるたるみができており、取り除く際に皮膚を切開して目立つ傷跡を残したくない場合に、裏ハムラ法は適しています。
目の下まぶたは眼輪筋などで支えられていますが、加齢により皮膚が垂れ下がって来たり眼輪筋が衰えると、眼窩脂肪も下がって出てくるようになります。涙袋の位置よりも下に出てきて、老けて見えたりクマができているように影を作ってしまうこともあります。
手術の際には結膜と呼ばれる下まぶたの内側を切開して行われ、過剰な脂肪をさらに下側にあるへこみに移動させて目立たなくさせます。ダウンタイムが気になりますが、皮膚を切って目立ってしまうハムラ法よりも腫れが少なくて済むため、長く休暇を取ることができない人などは良い方法といえますが、せっかくの優れた方法であっても未熟な医師が裏ハムラ法を行ってしまうと痛みが出たり、内出血が酷く化粧では隠せないほどになることがあるため、長く休暇を取るようになってしまうので医師選びはとても重要です。
ひどい腫れは4日程度、内出血も1週間
技術がある医師が裏ハムラ法を行えば、通常ひどい腫れは4日程度、内出血も1週間もすれば目立たなくなり、化粧でも隠せるほどですから、それほど長くダウンタイムを取る必要がありませんが、腕のない医師が過剰な脂肪を移動させる際、筋肉や皮膚などを傷つけてしまうと痛みが強く残って、腫れも続き青あざのように目の周りに内出血が出てしまうこともあります。片目ずつ手術したのであれば眼帯で2週間程度隠すこともできますが、両目同時に行った場合には使えないため、長く休暇を取得して対応するしかなくなってしまいます。
目の周りは大切な神経などもあるので、裏ハムラ法に慣れている名医に手術をお願いするべきです。下手な医師は左右のバランスも上手く取れなかったり、脂肪の移動が不十分で別な位置に新たなふくらみを作ってしまう懸念もあります。
