スペクトラはルートロニック社製のヤグレーザーを使用した治療方法で、マシンから照射されるトップハットビームによって肌の表皮を透過して皮膚の真皮層まで熱エネルギーを届けます。日本の厚生労働省にあたるアメリカのFDAが認めた安全なレーザー治療器で、主に整形外科で治療目的に使用されていますが、毛根にも届くことから脱毛にも使用されている技術です。照射されるレーザーは色素に反応する性質を持ち、特定の色素に熱エネルギーを与えることができるため汎用性が高く、様々な治療に使用されます。美容外科のスペクトラは皮膚を透過させ、均一にエネルギーが到達することから、シミや肝斑の原因となるメラニン色素を破壊する治療を行います。破壊された色素は分解され角質層で薄くなることで、その後のターンオーバーで排出することができます。そのため、黒ずんだ肌で年齢より老けて見えるようなシミや、セルフケアでは落とすことが難しいとされる肝斑も修正することができます。
繰り返し通院がネック
スペクトラによるレーザー治療は、照射するパワーの調整を行うことができるため、顔や腕といった特定の部位に縛られず、気になる部位であればどこでも修正することが可能です。肌の外部から治療を行うことができるため、メスを使用した切開などをする必要はなく、肌へのダメージは極小で済みます。しかし、熱エネルギーで色素を破壊するパワーが必要なため、伝わった熱が色素を通じて皮膚全体に広がることがあります。内部で広がった熱はかなりの高温となるので、場合によっては火傷を負うこともあるので施術前にパッチテストを行うことが重要なポイントです。スペクトラの治療は基本的に痛みがなく、麻酔などの下準備が不要でガーゼや絆創膏といったものを付ける必要もありません。レーザーは安定した照射ができ、しみや肝斑だけでなく美肌効果も期待できるのが特徴です。施術時間も短時間で済みますが、1度では十分な効果が発揮できないので、何度か繰り返し通院する必要があるのがネックとなります。
