Qスイッチヤグレーザーは532nmと1064nmの波長のレーザーを、気になるシミやアザに照射して、沈着している色素を除去するためのレーザー治療法です。
他の方法ではQスイッチルビーレーザーというのもありますが、こちらの方法では694nmの波長を使っており、シミやアザの除去に使用されています。アレクサンドライトレーザーという方法では、シミ、アザの除去のほかに脱毛などにも利用されています。これらの方法と比べ、Qスイッチヤグレーザーは治りが少し早いのが特徴だと言われています。
それというのも、通常の色素沈着の除去は、レーザー照射後メラニンが破壊され、リンパなどの働きによって体外へと排出される過程を経ています。しかし、Qスイッチヤグレーザーでは照射したメラニンは、そのまま蒸発して排出される割合が高く、その分効果が現れるのが早いのではないかと考えられています。
このようにとても便利なレーザー治療法ですが、当然リスクもあります。
今まで取れなかったシミに有効
Qスイッチヤグレーザーだけに限らず、レーザー治療法全般に言えることですが、皮膚に直接レーザーを照射しているので火傷をするリスクが常にあります。特にQスイッチというのは、光のエネルギーを一時的に貯めて、貯めたエネルギーを短時間で皮膚に照射する方法で、瞬間的に高いエネルギーが皮膚に照射されることになります。レーザーの出力を間違えてしまうと、しばらくは赤く腫れ、水膨れのような症状が出てしまい、そちらの治療に専念することになります。
また、人によっては光による反応性色素沈着を起こす可能性があります。そのため事前の医師とのカウンセリングなどで、反応性色素沈着対策に何かしらの薬や軟膏のようなものをもらうことがあるでしょう。
Qスイッチヤグレーザーはとても効果が高く、今まででは除去できなかったシミなどにも有効な治療法です。しかしレーザー治療法である以上、それ特有のリスクがあることを十分理解しておく必要があります。
