Qスイッチヤグレーザーはシミやアザそばかすを消すのに使用されるレーザーで、532nmと1064nmの波長を使って患部の治療を行います。
従来の方法だと、Qスイッチルビーレーザーのようなものを使っており、これは694nmの波長の光を使用したものでした。このレーザーを利用してもシミ、そばかす、アザを消すことができますが、どうしても対応できないものがあります。特に肝斑に対してはあまり効果がなく、逆に濃くしてしまうことがありました。これはQスイッチルビーレーザーの出力が、ガウンシアン型を取っており、中心部分は出力が高く、周囲は弱くなっていたからです。この場合、強い中心部分では炎症を起こしてしまい、肝斑を濃くする原因になってしまいます。その一方で、出力の弱い部分では効果がなく、肝斑を除去することはできませんでした。
Qスイッチヤグレーザーは1064nmの波長ではトップフラット型の出力をしており、出力が平坦になっています。そのため肝斑に対しても効果があるというメリットがあります。
日本人向けの治療法
Qスイッチヤグレーザーはアザやシミ、そばかすに対して効果があり、今までに効かないとされている肝斑などにも効果があります。
今までの方法とは違い様々なメリットがあると考えられています。
Qスイッチルビーレーザーではレーザーで破壊されたメラニン色素が排出されるのに2か月から3か月かかっていました。これはメラニン色素を破壊し、リンパから排出という経路をたどるためです。Qスイッチヤグレーザーの場合は、照射時間が短くピークのパワーが高いので、メラニン色素が蒸発してしまうからだと言われています。
Qスイッチヤグレーザーは二つの波長を使い分けることで、皮膚表面の浅い部分から、深い部分まで光を届かせることができ、効果的に治療を行うことができます。またQスイッチルビーレーザーはメラニンへの吸収率が高く、皮膚組織にメラニン色素の多い日本人は火傷をしてしまう危険性がありましたが、この方法ではその可能性が低く、日本人に向いた治療法だともいえます。
