Qスイッチヤグレーザーによる治療の場合、レーザーの照射後すぐは皮膚表面が白くなっています。30分もすると赤く腫れあがり、少し痛みを伴うことがありますが、次の日には晴れは治まっています。これは軽いやけどの状態であり、適切なアフターケアをしておかないと、後々キズや感染症の原因になってしまいます。
手術当日はなるべくお風呂などは避けて、皮膚へ刺激を与えないようにしましょう。また擦ったり、紫外線が当たるような場所へ行くのも厳禁です。しばらくは皮膚は赤いままですが、徐々にかさぶたができるようになります。このかさぶたは取らずに、医師に処方された軟膏などを塗って、自然に取れるようになるまで放っておくようにしておきましょう。無理にとると傷痕として残りやすく、皮膚はデリケートな状態になっているので、刺激を与えると色素沈着の原因となってしまいます。かさぶたが取れたら、通常通りの生活が可能で、メイクや洗顔なども普通に行うことができます。
