Qスイッチ・ルビ―レーザーは694nmの波長を発光するレーザー光を利用して、シミやそばかすを除去する手術のことです。この波長の光はメラニンに対して選択的に働き、健康な細胞には大きな作用を及ぼさないことが知られています。酸化ヘモグロビンはこの波長の光を吸収しないので、健康な細胞はダメージを受けません。そのため、シミやそばかす、アザなどがある患部以外にはダメージを与えることがなく、失敗が少ない方法でもあります。
Qスイッチ・ルビ―レーザーはシミやそばかす以外に、茶アザ、黒アザ、先天的な青アザに対しても効果があります。またタトゥーの除去にも使えるので、多くの人が受けている手術でもあります。
照射直後は患部は白くなっており、しばらくすると赤く腫れてかさぶたへと変化していきます。かさぶたが自然に剥がれると、ひと段落して通常通りのメイクなども行えるようになります。それまではメイクは控えめにして、紫外線などもなるべく避ける必要があります。
出力を間違えると失敗する可能性
Qスイッチ・ルビ―レーザーはレーザーを皮膚に照射することで、シミやアザを消すことができます。照射後は赤く腫れあがりますが、しばらくするとかさぶたとなって治っていきます。これは一種の火傷であり、この時に無理をしないことがとても大切です。
ルビーレーザー単体の出力は弱く、その出力を上げるためにQスイッチという機構を備えています。これによって出力を上げているのですが、出力を間違えると失敗する可能性があります。うまく調整できてないときは、メラニンだけでなく健康な細胞まで傷つけてしまい、ひどいやけどをしてしまいます。こうなると痕が残る可能性もあるので、しっかりと治すようにしましょう。
Qスイッチ・ルビ―レーザーは薄く小さいシミなら1回で終わりますが、大きさがある場合はある程度弱めの出力で、5回から6回に分けて行うのが普通です。これよりも少なめの回数で済ませる場合は火傷などのリスクが大きくなるので、医師との相談のうえ計画的に行うようにしましょう。
