Qスイッチ・ルビ―レーザーとは、短時間で大出力を発振するQスイッチ発振を備えたレーザー治療器で、シミや赤み、アザに加え刺青除去にも用いられる美容マシンです。この美容マシンは皮膚内部にあるメラニンなどの色素をルビーレーザー光で効果的に破壊します。Qスイッチ・ルビ―レーザーの料金相場は1回あたり約5千円からですが、治療箇所の大きさや照射時間によってその値段は様々に変動します。これに加えて治療時間は約5分から30分が目安ですが、これも照射数や範囲により変動するものとなります。この他ダウンタイムは1週間程度で、レーザー照射後は日焼けしやすいためその間は日焼け止めを塗るなどの対策を徹底します。これを行わなかった場合のリスクとしては、かえってシミが濃くなってしまうということが起こりえます。これに加えて治療中の痛みとしては、輪ゴムで皮膚を強く弾いたような痛みがある他、治療箇所を透明や肌色の保護テープで保護するケースが多いものとなっています。

Qスイッチ・ルビ―レーザーでは特定の色素部分に反応する特性により、ターゲットとなる色素を熱で破壊することで、シミや赤み、アザや刺青除去に対応しています。この美容マシンではルビーレーザーによりメラニンなどの色素を破壊した後、治療箇所を素早くかさぶた化して可能な限りの炎症を抑えることができます。Qスイッチ・ルビ―レーザーの平均的な治療回数は1箇所に付き1回から2回ですが、照射間隔は半年以上となるケースが多いものとなっています。リスクとしては紫外線対策が不十分であった場合の色素沈着がありますが、この他にも妊娠中や授乳中の場合や体調や肌の状態が悪い場合などは治療は禁忌となります。この美容マシンは刺青除去にも対応していますが、除去できる色は基本的には黒と緑色のみとなり、赤などの色が使われている場合には、YAGレーザーなど他のマシンで対応する必要があります。Qスイッチ・ルビ―レーザーは美容皮膚科では1平方ミリメートルあたり約5千円からが料金相場ですが、保険適用の皮膚科や形成外科では、症例によってはこれより割安で治療を受けられる場合があります。
