Qスイッチ・ルビ―レーザーはシミやアザ、そばかすを消すのに有効なレーザー治療法です。ルビーレーザーは694nmの光を発光をするレーザーで、メラニンはこの光に対する吸収率が高く、健康な細胞に含まれている酸化ヘモグロビンは吸収率が低くなっています。吸収率が高いと、ダメージを受けやすく、低いものはダメージを受けにくいです。
レザーの手術中は輪ゴムではじいたような痛みがありますが、内出血はほとんどありません。術後には腫れが出ることがあり、それらが完全に治るまで無理なことはできません。
Qスイッチ・ルビ―レーザーは他の整形手術と違い、切開を行うことはないのでダウンタイムは短い傾向にあります。しかし、皮膚にダメージを与える手術なので、しっかりと治るまでは刺激を与えないようにする必要があり、そうしなければ痕などが残る可能性があります。顔の皮膚はとてもデリケートなので、ダウンタイム期間がとても重要になってきます。

Qスイッチ・ルビ―レーザーの手術中は輪ゴムで軽くはじいたような痛みがして、チクチクすることがあります。照射後は患部が白くなり、しばらくすると赤く腫れあがってきます。この腫れは次の日には治ることがありますが、赤いままです。内出血などは起こりませんが、この赤い部分はだんだんとかさぶたへと変わっていき、やがて自然に剥がれていきます。このかさぶたが取れると、日常通りのメイクなどを行うことができます。ダウンタイムは2週間程度ですが、このかさぶたが自然に剥がれてなくなるまでがダウンタイムだといえます。
それまではメイクは控えめにしてき、紫外線に当たることを控えるようにしましょう。また不用意に顔をかくようなことも避けるようにしましょう。傷ついてしまうと痕が残ったり、感染症の危険があるからです。皮膚はダメージを受けているので、刺激を与えることは止めましょう。
