糸を使ったフェイスリフトでは、皮膚の下に糸を埋め込むため、そこから感染してしまうことがあります。
切らないフェイスリフトには2種類の方法があります。
1つはトゲを皮下組織にひっかけて留める方法です。2つ目は糸を引っ張って側頭部や耳裏に針穴を開けて、皮膚の下から糸を出して固定する方法です。
感染のリスクが高くなるのは、2つ目の皮下から糸を出して留める方法です。
糸を留める時に周囲の髪の毛が針穴から入ってしまい感染を引き起こしたり、施術環境が不衛生なクリニックで手術を受けた場合に、感染症のリスクが高くなります。
また、術後に患部を不衛生にしておいてしまうと、そこから細菌が入り込んで感染してしまう恐れもあります。
アフターケアの面では、まずは患部を衛生的に保つことを心がけるようにしましょう。クリニックの環境を事前に見学させてもらうことも大切です。

他にも、切らないフェイスリフトでは術後のダウンタイムが長引いてしまうことがあります。

特に中顔面という目の下の位置は血管や神経が太いので、ここから太めの糸を入れた場合には、術後に皮膚を優しく扱うことが重要になります。
切らないフェイスリフトというと切る方法に比べてリスクが低いと思われがちですが、体に異物を入れる以上はなんらかのリスクは伴います。
体内で自然に溶ける糸を使った場合でも、溶けない糸を使った場合でも同様にリスクがあるので、気をつけましょう。
