頚部リフトとは、頬や首周りの皮膚や組織を引っぱり上げ、たるみやシワを目立たなくするために行われます。
頚部リフトの場合、首の後ろの髪の生え際で目立ちにくい部分の皮膚を切開し、はく離した組織に特殊な糸を引っ掛け、上方へ引っ張り上げることになります。
気になる部分を直接引っ張ることでシワなどを伸ばすことができ、即効性だけでなく確実な効果が得られます。多くの場合で髪の毛が生えている部分から耳の後ろを切開するため、傷が分かりにくく、施術を周囲の人に知られにくいという利点もあります。
しかし、デメリットが多いのも頚部リフトの特徴です。
具体的には、神経を傷つけることで顔の筋肉が動かしづらくなり、マヒ症状が出たり、切開に失敗して耳が変形してしまうといった例が多く寄せられています。このように大きなデメリットもあるため、施術を受ける際には内容をよく理解し、万が一失敗した際にどのようにケアするかを事前に担当医と相談しておく必要があります。
完全にシワを消すことは難しいので注意が必要
頚部リフトのデメリットとしては、上記に述べたものの他に皮膚の引き上げがうまく行かず、逆に施術した部分とは他の場所に新しいシワやたるみを作ってしまうリスクもあります。
このようにできたシワやたるみは、自然にはなかなか消えることがありません。このため、もしこのような状態に陥った場合には、ボトックスやヒアルロン酸の注入などを行って改善を試みることになります。

頚部リフトの特徴として皮膚の切開部分は、耳の後ろや傷跡の目立たないうなじ部分に行います。傷跡が目立ってしまう場合には、この切開部分の選択が適切ではない場合や、縫合の技術が低いという点が挙げられます。
傷跡を出来る限り残したくない場合には、縫合技術を確かめるために今までに施術した頚部リフトの経過観察写真を見せて貰うようにしましょう。

腫れと内出血が強く出る期間はどのくらいなのか
腫れや内出血は、一番強く出る期間を約1週間程度とし、その後緩やかに腫れなどは引いてきます。最終的に施術部位が落ち着くまでの期間は約2週間程度を目安にしておきましょう。
